Buying Pre-Owned Car Stress-Free

Recently, while looking out for a used car, I found a domain of an auto locator service.

Curiosity drove me to test out what an automobile locator does and I was blown away by the ease and stress free way of buying pre-owned car that I hadn’t known before.

They just need to make a sale TODAY regardless of what you need.

Are you too busy to spend days or weeks going from lot to lot, trying to find the automobile you would like and all the while having somebody try and sell you a black four door sedan when you want a red sports car?
Used car dealers have got to sell you something from their inventory that’s's already on their vehicle lot. It is irrelevant which auto you need, they’ll do their best to sell you a vehicle they already have in stock.

Will you get a warranty?

how do you know the auto is mechanically sound?
are you able to test drive it or take it to your mechanic?

I think the other reports are based on public documentation more than on an actual inspection by a certified used car inspector and I trust a’hands on’ inspection much more than one pulled from databases that might be superseded or missing info.  Read more...

Differences between SUV, Minibus, and Minivan Rental

f you are thinking about a SUV, minibus, or a minivan rental, then you will want to consider a few things first. There are only a few differences between a SUV, a minivan, and a minibus. Knowing the differences will help you make an informed decision when considering what to rent.

Size:

All three options hold more people than a standard car. Minivans and SUVs typically hold the same number of people. It does vary among the make and models but they are comparably the same size. For larger parties, a minibus may be the better option. Minibuses typically hold more people than both the SUV and the minivan.

Storage:

If you are traveling with lots of luggage a minibus may not be the best fit. They tend to have little or no trunk space. However, this can be overcome by simply renting a larger minibus to accommodate the luggage. SUVs and minivans are work horses when it comes to luggage. They both have ample room for large items or tons of smaller items. Basically, if you are traveling with gear a SUV or minivan is probably the safe bet.

Safety:

Generally, the larger the car the safer it performs in accidents. Of course this too varies with individual make and models. SUVs are heavier than minivans and offer more protection in a normal accident. However, SUVs have been known to roll over in fast turns where minivans and minibuses do not. Dana Points gave Shira Lazar a more in depth look of the top three family cars from Parents magazine backstage at The Saturday Early Show including the Ford Fusion Hybrid, the Chevy Traverse and the Honda CRV.

?best New Family Car?: Honda Accord

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has voted the new 2008 Honda Accord sedan as the “Best New Family Car” in the 26th annual AJAC Canadian Car of the Year competition. It is in recognition of Honda’s exceptional effort in bringing quality design, engineering and manufacturing for the model. Thus, the Honda Accord comes eligible to compete with the other qualifying models for the overall Canadian Car of the Year award. Winners will be announced on February 13 at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

Late October the 2008 AJAC Car and Truck of the Year competition was held near Niagara-On-The-Lake. Over 70 AJAC journalist members participated in four days of back-to-back test evaluations, covering 59 individual products in 12 different categories. According to AJAC officials, the event has been designed to provide Canadian consumers with sound, comparative information on vehicles that are new to the market.

In the event, the Honda Accord EX Sedan competed against five other rival products in the Family Car category. The 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, powered with V6 engine that comes with 6-speed manual transmission, on the other hand, competed against two other finalists in the “Best New Sports/Performance Car Under ,000” category.
